How to choose the positive and begin creating it – Part 2
Begin breathing deeply and slowly, allowing yourself to become more and more relaxed with each breath.
As you breathe deeply and slowly, and let yourself relax, let yourself imagine what a day of being positive would be like – or even what just an hour of being positive, peaceful, relaxed, and hopeful would be like for you. As you imagine it, let yourself enjoy it. Let yourself feel and experience these positive feelings for a few moments – the positive feelings which come with being positive.
Continue breathing deeply and slowly, allowing yourself to become even more relaxed with each and every long, slow deep breath in and out. As you breathe, imagine some of the positive things which would occur in this day of being positive. Let go of any restrictions on your mind and on your imagination, and let yourself imagine the positive things which would occur in this day of being positive and feeling positive feelings. Let yourself feel and experience the connections with other people, the fulfilling work or activities you would be doing, and the positive attitude and perceptions you would be having about yourself. These are the positive events or interactions with others which you will be creating in your life by being positive.
Then imagine the positive, caring, and supportive people you will be with or you will be interacting with at work, or at home, or at some social event, or when you are doing some physical activity. Let yourself feel and experience the positive feelings and emotions you will be feeling when your day is filled with positive, supportive, and caring people – people who you would most like to spend time with and be with. Breathe deeply and slowly, and allow yourself to feel these positive feelings and emotions for a moment or two.
